My commission from Flatbear is done. BWEEEEEEEE!!!!
I wanted Sif and Val having a ‘girls day’ with Thor. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

This one was just the most fun ever!

normally i’m very philosophically opposed to the “tactical bodypaint” school of drawing superhero costumes but
~ooh commander rogers~
never let me think i can ink and color something comic-book-style again

oh this is….oh yes, this is….this is just everything I want and more.

Secret Avengers #7

Filed under Things I Forgot To Post Last Week.

It’s the Baby Money Avengers! I drew this parody of Amazing Fantasy #15 to give to Kelly Sue at Heroescon last week as kind of a thank you for everything she’s done, not just for me, but for fandom. And what better way to thank someone than to present them with the worst thing to happen to Marvel since the swimsuit edition?

So I figured I would share it with the BMA fans out there, because why the hell not! And for those wanting to learn a cool comics thing today, Amazing Fantasy #15 is the first ever appearance of Spider-man, and an often parodied cover :)

HAPPY NEW YEARS, BABY MONEY AVENGERS STYLE. (For those just joining us, The origin of the Baby Money Avengers.)

With, as always, backup from Valkyrie and their long-suffering handler, Phil Coulson.

  • If you’re wondering why Daimon Hellstrom has a trash can, you need to educate yourself.
  • If you don’t think Captain Marvel has a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME.
  • And if you disagree that the BMA are tearing shit up in a golden, rocket-powered stretch Hummer…sir, please remove yourself from the internet.

I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL 2013!!

The new series you are looking for is FEARLESS DEFENDERS! Written by personal favorite Cullen Bunn and drawn by Will Sliney, Fearless Defenders sees Misty Knight and Valkyrie (Of Baby Money Avengers fame, ho ho ho…) on a quest to assemble a team of ass-kicking and name-taking heroines. Dani Moonstar has been the only one listed so far, but it looks promising!
As for Carol and Jess, you have a STACK of comics coming your way! Although they’re not sharing panels yet, our girls are tearing it up in Kelly Sue Deconnick’s Avengers Assemble. Pick you up Issue #9 which came out a couple of weeks ago, it’s a PERFECT starting point!
From what I’ve seen in preview art, they’re also going to be sharing some hero time in Jonathan Hickman’s new AVENGERS, which will henceforth be referred to as Hickvengers. If you guys missed out on how he revolutionized Fantastic Four, now is your chance to get in on the action. Hickvengers starts this December.
(I also hear rumors that Jess will start to show her face a little more often in KSD’s Captain Marvel. Which you should already be reading. Right? RIGHT?)
Now in terms of books of the past, you can catch up with some Carol and Jessica hijinks in Brian Reed’s Ms Marvel series, which ran for a good 50 issues. Look for Jessica post-Civil War, but listen to me when I say that some big shocks are coming your way!
Hope that helped! And remember, if you are interested in these books, PRE-ORDER THEM! That’s how Marvel knows to keep printing them! Pre-order either at your local store, or at one of your friendly online comics-shilling sites!

Heeeey look, posting some crap that hasn’t yet been posted.

I don’t know about you, but I love the thought of Bruce hulking out and tearing up his clothes, and having to borrow from his boyfriend whoever is closest.

Also, drawing dancing superheroines is the most fun EVER.
