Millions of thanks to the amazing and lustrous flatbear for finishing this commission for me.
Clint darling, some retro styles should stay… retro.

LOOK AT THIS BOOK. LOOK AT THIS FUCKING COVER. LOOK AT CLINT GETTING CARRIED OUT. SAVE ME JESSICA SORRY I’M A CHEATING DOUCHE.

But seriously, this is Kelly Sue and Jen Van Meter. TWO GREAT TASTES THAT TASTE GREAT TOGETHER okay that sounded a little fucked up but you know what I mean. Seriously, I am so excited for this team, and they knock out a killer issue together.

When i met Greg Rucka at heroes, literally all I could say was HI I LOVE YOUR WIFE SO MUCH. What I should of said was ‘Oh, hello Greg Rucka, you are the reason I felt brave enough to start reading comics to thanks for Gotham Central and Batwoman. Fancy a cuppa?’

But yeah all I could manage was HEE HEE YOU KNOW JEN VAN METER PRETTY SURE YOU DO.

I am so stoked to see her on this book. I’m not kidding when I saw she and Kelly Sue are a dream together.

ALL MY MARVELMASSES HAVE COME AT ONCE.

Buy Captain Marvel #16 in your store or online today, and don’t worry if you’re not reading any of the other Infinity books, as long as you have Captain Marvel #15, you’re good to go!

HA HA HA HA FLIES INTO THE SUN

“In the past, comics companies have tended to suggest diversity should ‘happen naturally,’ as if when you leave a comic book open overnight gay men might grow in the pages like mustard and cress, so it’s great that Marvel are now championing it, doing it deliberately. Because that’s the only way it can be done. Jeanine’s [Schaefer, his editor on Wolverine] a force for change. And there are a number of prominent female editors now who are altering the face of pro comics culture pretty swiftly.

Online comics fandom, meanwhile, if you judge solely by the comics message boards, remains conservative and behind the times. The action is to be found on Tumblr, where the Carol Corps lives.”

-

– writer Paul Cornell, who adheres to a strict “panel parity” rule at conventions (he won’t appear on all-male panels), talking to the New Statesman about embracing political issues in mainstream comic books

Thank you Kelly Sue for the heads up. Damn this makes me so happy, to see that this craving for change and diversity is affecting and influencing people outside of our little bubble :) (source)

I’m standing up at the counter at work, and one of my customers is sitting at the tables behind me, reading the new Captain Marvel: Enemy Within.

All I am hearing from him are variations of ‘OH GOD’ ‘HOLY SHIT’ ‘WHAT’ ‘WHAAAAAAT’ ‘WHAT' 'KELLY SUE NOOOO'

So yeah. You should all probably be buying that book today…
